who we are

We are a small design build firm located in Ann Arbor Michigan. We focus on residential projects and enjoy helping people live better in their homes and add value while doing so.

I am the son of a builder. I worked my way through a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan by building decks and being a carpenter for a local remodeler. After graduation, I spent 4 years working in local architectural offices, which was a great experience, but I missed building. I love to design, AND I love to build.

I started this company in 1997, focusing on a DESIGN/BUILD method to ensure successful projects. I define a successful project as a happy homeowner with a beautiful, functional home completed with-in 'stated' expectations of cost, service and schedule from the beginning of design to the end of construction.

The design build model services for all residential projects are:

1. Design Build Services - we operate as both your designer and builder. All of the projects featured on our website are products of this service.

2. Design only (if you already are working a Remodeler) - We join the process and provide all design services and coordinate with builder for their preliminary estimates.

3. Build only - If you already are working with an architect or designer. We join the process and provide preliminary estimates thru out the design process. This will help guide your scope of work decisions to maintain investment targets.
